The Coalition for a Safer Albuquerque was formed in the Spring of 2020 to pursue two goals:
• decrease the number of law enforcement encounters with people who are not accused of committing a crime
• increase access to comprehensive and effective health care and human services.

CSA is a cross-sector coalition working to strengthen behavioral health, supportive housing, workforce development, and community-centered safety across New Mexico. We bring together community leaders, advocates, service providers, people with lived experience, and public partners to advance practical, coordinated solutions that expand care, reduce reliance on the criminal legal system, and build healthier, safer communities.
